We know it’s not always easy to fit dress alterations around work, family and everything else you have going on—especially when you’re planning a wedding.
That’s why we offer weekday, evening and weekend fitting appointments at Sew Eazy in Bonnybridge.
Appointments That Fit Around Real Life
Not everyone can come for a fitting during normal working hours. You might be working, arranging childcare or trying to find a time when all your bridesmaids are free at once.
We currently offer:
Weekday appointments from 12 noon
Selected evening appointments
Appointments on alternating Saturdays and Sundays
Longer appointments when several dresses need to be fitted
All fittings must be booked in advance through our website.
Evening Fitting Appointments
Evening appointments are ideal if you can’t get away from work during the day or need someone to come along with you.
These appointments are limited and fill up quickly, especially during the busy bridal and prom seasons, so please don’t leave it until the last minute to book.
An evening appointment gives you more choice over when you attend, but it doesn’t reduce the time needed to alter your dress. Our normal lead times still apply.
Saturday and Sunday Appointments
We offer weekend fittings on alternating Saturdays and Sundays, rather than every weekend.
Weekend appointments can be really helpful when bridesmaids live in different places or everyone works different hours.
If more than one person needs to be fitted, please add extra time when you book. Fitting several dresses properly takes time, and we don’t want anyone to feel rushed.
When Should You Book Your Alterations?
As a rough guide, we recommend allowing:
Around 12 weeks for wedding dress alterations
Around 10 weeks for bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride or groom alterations
Around 8 weeks for prom and other special-occasion dresses
Around 6–8 weeks for flower-girl and junior bridesmaid dresses
Every dress is different. Some only need small adjustments, while others involve detailed work or several fittings.
Evening and weekend appointments are usually the first to fill, so booking early gives you a much better choice of dates and times.
What Should You Bring to Your Fitting?
Please bring:
The shoes you’ll be wearing
The correct underwear or shapewear
Your hoop or underskirt, if you’re wearing one
Anything else that could affect how the dress fits
The right shoes and underwear can make a big difference to the length and fit of a dress, so please bring them from your first fitting if possible.

Sew Eazy is based in Bonnybridge, Central Scotland, with a private fitting room where you can change comfortably and talk through exactly what your dress needs.
We welcome clients from Falkirk, Cumbernauld, Stirling and further afield, and we’re only a few minutes from the M80.
