We’ve been doing this for over 20 years, and there’s not much we haven’t altered along the way.
From wedding dresses and prom gowns to Mother of the Bride outfits and everyday clothing, every garment gets the same care and attention.
We’ll tell you what can be done, what’s worth doing and, just as importantly, when we think something is best left alone.

DROP OR SCHEDULE A FITTING
We’ve made visiting Sew Eazy as straightforward as possible.
Items that don’t need a fitting including everyday alterations and repairs—can be dropped off Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm.
If your garment needs to be fitted, simply book an appointment through our website. Fitting appointments are also available outside our usual opening hours, giving you more flexibility when you need it.
Lead Times for Alterations
To give us enough time to complete your alterations properly, please allow the following:

Everyday alterations and repairs: 1–2 weeks

Wedding dresses: 12 weeks

Bridesmaid dresses: 10 weeks

Mother of the bride or groom outfits: 10 weeks

Prom and special-occasion dresses: 8 weeks

Junior bridesmaid and flower girl dresses: 6–8 weeks
These are our recommended minimum lead times. During busy periods, appointments can fill quickly, so please book as early as possible.
An express service of 1–2 days may be available for an additional charge, depending on our workload and the alterations required.
What to Bring to Your Fitting
Please bring the shoes, underwear and any underskirt or hoop you intend to wear with your outfit. These can all affect how your garment fits and where the finished hem will sit.

Bra: Bring the exact bra you plan to wear, particularly if it is strapless, padded or push-up.

Shoes: Your heel height determines the finished length of dresses and trousers, so please bring the correct shoes.

Underskirt or hoop: These alter the shape and height of a dress and must be worn when the hem is measured.

Shapewear: If you intend to wear shapewear, please bring it to every fitting, as it can change the fit of your garment.
Bringing the same items to each fitting helps us achieve an accurate and consistent fit.
Why It Matters
The shoes, underwear and accessories you wear can completely change how your garment fits and where the hem sits. Without them, measurements may not be accurate and further adjustments or additional fittings may be needed.
